Olive Bread

Ingredients:

  • 500 g flour
  • 20 g fresh yeast (or 10 g dry yeast)
  • 300 ml of warm water
  • 100 g black olives (pitted, chopped)
  • 50 g green olives (pitted, chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

Preparation:

  1. Add the sugar and yeast to the lukewarm water and let it stand until the yeast rises.
  2. Put the flour, salt and olive oil in a bowl, add the yeast water and knead the dough.
  3. Add the chopped olives to the dough and continue kneading until the olives are evenly distributed.
  4. Leave the dough to ferment covered for 1 hour.
  5. Shape the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
